Clogged Toilet – Troubleshooting

To fix a clogged toilet, you can try the following steps:

  1. Use a plunger to forcefully push down and pull up on the clog. Make sure to create a tight seal around the opening of the toilet bowl before plunging.
  2. If the plunger doesn’t work, try using a toilet auger. This tool has a long flexible cable with a small auger on the end that can be inserted into the toilet to break up and remove the clog.
  3. If neither of these methods work, the clog may be located further down the drain pipe and you may need to call a plumber.
