Clogged Toilet – Troubleshooting
To fix a clogged toilet, you can try the following steps:
- Use a plunger to forcefully push down and pull up on the clog. Make sure to create a tight seal around the opening of the toilet bowl before plunging.
- If the plunger doesn’t work, try using a toilet auger. This tool has a long flexible cable with a small auger on the end that can be inserted into the toilet to break up and remove the clog.
- If neither of these methods work, the clog may be located further down the drain pipe and you may need to call a plumber.
