No Hot Water – Troubleshooting

To troubleshoot when you do not have hot water, there are multiple steps that can be taken:

  1. Check the water heater to see if the pilot light is on or if the thermostat is set to the appropriate temperature.
  2. If you have gas, confirm your gas has been turned on with the local utility provider.
  3. Check the shut-off valves near the water heater to make sure they are open and not closed.
  4. If you still do not have hot water, it may be a more serious issue. Please place a request in your Residence Portal (provide as much information as possible to help us expedite the repair and maintenance).
