Washing Machine – Troubleshooting

To troubleshoot an issue with a malfunctioning washing machine, there are multiple steps that can be taken:

  1. Check the power: Ensure that the washing machine is plugged in and that the outlet is working. If the outlet isn’t working, try plugging another appliance into it to determine if it’s the outlet or the washing machine that’s the problem.
  2. Check the water supply: Ensure that the water supply to the washing machine is turned on and that the hoses are not kinked or damaged. Also, check if the water inlet filters are clogged.
  3. Check for any error codes: If your washing machine has a digital display, it may show an error code when there is a problem. Check the manual (you can look up the model on the internet for a manual) for the specific error code and follow the troubleshooting steps recommended.
  4. Check the door: Make sure that the door of the washing machine is closed properly. Some washing machines will not work if the door is not closed properly.
  5. Check the load: Ensure that the washing machine is not overloaded with clothes or unbalanced. An overloaded or unbalanced machine can cause it to stop functioning.
  6. If the machine is still not working, it may be a more serious issue. Please place a request in your Residence Portal (provide as much information as possible to help us expedite the repair and maintenance).
